We have an amazing opportunity for someone who’s passionate about women’s football and interested in supporting the growth of the game and developing their skills in business management. The role will initially be part time so would be perfect for someone who’s studying (for example).
We only have a few essential requirements:
Passionate and knowledgeable about women’s football, it’s history and supporting the revolution of the game.
Keen, interested and willing to learn.
Must be based in Manchester, UK.
What we do:
We are the first ever women’s football retail store in the world. We source the latest women’s football specific merchandise, fonts (for football jerseys) and equipment specifically for fans of women’s football and female footballers. Women’s football is the number one participation sport by women in the world. Women’s football is the biggest growing spectator sport in the world. By 2030 they estimate women’s sport will be valued at over £1billion.
We launched in December 2020 and have sold women’s football jerseys to over 30 countries with orders flying in and out daily.
We also work with the first inclusive women’s football club in Manchester, focusing on bringing women and non-binary people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds together to enjoy the beautiful game.
What you’ll do:
We’d love to give you the opportunities to express yourself and help to develop you in areas which you feel passionate about. However, there are a few desirable skills we’d love to see:
Social media management plus advertising, SEO and Marketing
Specifically working in content management, content creation and customer service. We’d love you to have the creative skills to come up with new content ideas and drive them from inception to completion.
You’ll have a lot of creative freedom to come up with amazing ideas to grab people's attention. We’d also be willing to give you a budget to make magic happen. If you can justify it then we can make it a reality. We’d love you to have an interest and working knowledge of marketing and sales.
Graphics and Design
We have social media accounts and website domains that need to be kept up to date and looking fresh. We’d love you to help to create a vibe for the site, the brand and the socials and follow through with design work.
Organisation, Hands-on & willing
We’d love you to have great organisational skills and an understanding of how to update google calendar, google sheets, google docs and google forms. We want someone who’s willing to be hands on and try anything out! There may be a need to support with postage and packaging as well as shirt printing and heat pressing jerseys. There will be no normal day at Foudy's HQ!
Other bits and pieces:
Writing - We have two active women’s football websites. If you’re passionate about writing then there will be plenty of opportunities to make your voice heard.
Podcasting - If you’re keen to produce, edit or work on presenting on a podcast we can create that opportunity for you.
Inventory, Accountancy & Data - We will need regular shirt, lettering and stock inventory as well as monitoring overheads and margins. If you’re a whiz on a spreadsheet then that would be fantastic!
The hours, the pay etc:
The role itself is part time (with the potential to become full time and permanent by 2022) and we’d love to flex around you and your schedule. There would be NO clocking in and clocking out as we believe a person works best when they’re not thinking about picking the kids up from school or a University assignment. We want you to feel excited about working for us and not stressed with everything else going on!
There will be a mixture between working from home and working with our Founder Helen at HQ (West Gorton) on football related projects as well as on site at our Club House at Whalley Range Sports Centre.
We’d be happy to discuss a monthly salary or hourly wage (paid monthly) to suit you and your situation.
